She was considered to be crazy when she died, and truthfully, she was. The events that happened caused her to lose her mind. First, she was accused of being the reason why Hamlet was going crazy. Then, she had to break up with him, and she clearly loved him. This would make anyone sad. After all of this happened, Hamlet killed her father, for no reason, and then got away with the crime. It is not dishonorable for this to happen to Ophelia. For this reason, Ophelia did not die dishonorably.
Ophelia is someone who brought great joy to many people. Her father loved her very much, as evidence from the way he was concerned with her. Laertes was very close with his sister.
Ophelia meant very much to Hamlet as well. She was someone that he fell in love with, and she loved him. She will be part of the representation of what Hamlet lost after his father died, and after he went crazy. Ophelia will always have an affect on Hamlet.
Ophelia is also a representation of what everyone lost during this time of Denmark's history. Ophelia was an innocent person, who did not have anything to do with Claudius killing King Hamlet. Ophelia should not have been involved with this at all, and her death did not serve much of a purpose. She shows the calamity that followed all of this, and how it affected so many people surrounding the royal family and court. She should be honored for being this person.
Ophelia was a girl that probably never expected for any of this to happen chaos to her, her boyfriend, or family. I think she held up for as well as to be expected for someone in this type of position. For this reason I believe that we should be honoring Ophelia, and the impact that she had on Hamlet, Laertes, Polonius, and everyone else in the court of Denmark. Ophelia was a woman who was misunderstood at the end of her life, and we should not let that be the reason why she is not honored in the right way.

I agree with the fact that the end of her life was not a portrayal of who she really was. Unfortunately she was considered to be crazy, but I don't believe that that was her fault. I believe that she became mad because she was exhausted with having to deal with Hamlet and his ways. She did die dishonorably, she was neglected by the ones she loved most and never received the love that she gave to other people. I like how you pointed out that Ophelia was a representation of what everyone lost during the play. She was misunderstood and did not deserve to die the way she had done so.
